DESIGNING
AND IMPLEMENTING A RECORDS SYSTEM (DIRS) STEPS D-H
Aims:
This course
aims to provide participants with a practical approach to
designing and implementing a records system, steps D-H. The
course follows recordkeeping best practice as outlined in
AS/IOS 15489 for Records Management.
Outcomes:
By the
end of this training session, participants will be able to:
- Determine
the needs and requirements of a recordkeeping system.
- Identify
recordkeeping best practice.
- Assess
existing information systems in use within your organisation.
- Identify
strategies to satisfy records requirements.
- Interpret
and use DIRS to assess records.
- Design
and implement a records system.
- Undertake
a post-implementation review.
- Plan
and review recordkeeping practices.
Participants
are provided with a course booklet and additional handouts.
