INFORMATION RISK MANAGEMENT

Aims:

This course aims to provide participants with the background skills and knowledge required to identify, analyse, evaluate, treat, monitor and review risks to information within an organisation. The course takes a hands-on approach to risk management, providing participants with several opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge learnt through practical activities and exercises.


Outcomes:

By the end of this training session, participants will be able to:

  • Define 'risk management' and 'information risk management'.
  • Assess benefits of managing records.
  • Identify risks associated with not managing records.
  • Identify sources of risk within an organisation.
  • Explain the risk management framework.
  • Develop strategies to identify, analyse, evaluate, treat, monitor and review risks within an organisation.

Participants are provided with a course booklet and additional handouts.
